Pro-agriculture citizens fighting the county hospital and a four-lane Highway 47 have placed at least one large sign along Highway 47 in Tome-Adelino. The sign was planted adjacent to a pro-hospital sign. More signs will be placed soon.

The pro-agriculture sign, which has an image of skyscrapers in the background, reads: “Hospital + 4 Lane Hwy 47 + Bridge Crossing = Destruction of Farm Land. Say No to the Destruction of Farm Land in Valencia County,” and, in smaller print at the bottom, ”Paid for by citizens of Tome-Adelino, San Fernandez, La Constancia, El Cerro, Las Maravillas, Pasitos del Cielo, Rio Communities, Los Lunas, Belen, Jarales, Bosque, Casa Colorada, Bosque Farms, Isleta, Peralta, San Clemente, Los Chavez and Greater Valencia County.”
