About Jerah
Jerah R. Cordova is a city councilor in Belen, New Mexico. He was elected on March 2, 2010, to serve a four-year term.
Before becoming a councilor, Jerah worked as a local small business owner, running a successful Valencia County news and information publication.
He has worked as an assistant to the superintendent of the Los Lunas Schools Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to that, he was an investigator with the United States Department of Defense.
Jerah graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
While in college, he worked with former Congresswoman Heather Wilson, gave history tours of the Capitol Building, and spent one semester digging around the United States National Archives for documents about World War II atomic bomb research in New Mexico.
